Best Golf Wedges

Dial in your short game — how to choose wedge lofts, bounce, and grinds to hit it close.

価格の目安: $120–$190 each

Wedges are your scoring clubs inside 120 yards, where rounds are won and lost. A good wedge setup covers your distance gaps and gives you the versatility to handle different lies and turf conditions.

Beyond loft, bounce and grind determine how the club interacts with the ground. Getting these right for your swing and course conditions is what separates crisp chips from chunks and skulls.

選ぶときのポイント

Gap your lofts

A common setup is pitching wedge, then wedges roughly 4–6° apart (e.g., 46°, 50°, 54°, 58°). Even gaps prevent awkward in-between yardages.

Understand bounce

Higher bounce (10°+) helps in soft turf, bunkers, and for steeper swings; lower bounce (4°–8°) suits firm conditions and shallow, sweeping swings. Match bounce to your typical courses and attack angle.

Choose the right grind

Grinds shape the sole for versatility. Wider soles resist digging; grinds with heel/toe relief let you open the face for flops and tight lies. Ask a fitter which grind fits your technique.

Cavity-back for forgiveness

Higher handicappers can benefit from cavity-back wedges (like Cleveland CBX) that add forgiveness while still spinning well.

よくある質問

How many wedges should I carry?

Most golfers carry three or four wedges (pitching, gap, sand, and sometimes a lob wedge) to cover full-swing and finesse distances with even loft gaps.

What bounce should I use?

If you play soft courses or take steep divots, choose higher bounce. On firm turf with a shallow swing, lower bounce works better. A mid-bounce all-around wedge suits most golfers.
